We are pleased to confirm that our Michelin starred restaurant, Vistas Rui Silvestre, reopens in April after a winter break.
The team have been preparing new flavours and fragrances for 2023, and are excited to be presenting new textures and aromas to challenge your senses. Along with a new resident sommelier and chef’s dining table, the team looks forward to welcoming residents and guests over the coming months.

In the latest Golf Digest rankings, Monte Rei has again been confirmed as the #1 golf course in Portugal and also impressively, #27 in the World!
Acknowledging the stunning panoramic views to the Atlantic Ocean, the Golf Digest judges felt the design is a blend of modern and classic – wide fairways, aggressive bunkering and shallow, angled greens that shape around hazards including a variety of American-style water features.

During yesterday's 2022 Michelin Guide Spain & Portugal reveal in Valencia, Monte Rei's iconic restaurant, Vistas Rui Silvestre was once again awarded one Michelin star, for the third year in a row!
Chef Rui and the Monte Rei team are extremely proud to celebrate this achievement and would like to thank everyone who supported us on this journey and are very grateful for this incredible recognition.
We look forward to the seasonal reopening in March 2022 and to continuing to deliver outstanding gourmet dining experiences for all of our residents, guests, and visitors!

Executive Chef Rui Silvestre and his team from Monte Rei have joined with local food suppliers, Makro, and the network supporting those in need, Rede de Emergência Alimentar, to prepare and supply meals for the health professionals currently working in these very difficult times.
They have been joined in this initiative, also helping families in need, by Brandelicious and Antigravity.

Monte Rei is very proud to announce that our fine dining restaurant, Vistas, has been awarded its first Michelin star. Led by Executive Chef, Rui Silvestre, the entire team has worked tirelessly to ensure Vistas offers the complete dining experience.
In confirming the award, the Michelin judges praised Vistas as “a kitchen of great finesse, deserving of a visit. Using top quality ingredients, dishes with distinct flavours are carefully prepared to a consistently high standard.”
Extensive renovation work continues over the coming months, and we look forward to re-opening in March 2020 with a greatly improved kitchen area alongside a new dedicated chef’s table.

Monte Rei begrüßte Jack Nicklaus im Juli im Monte Rei und rundete damit einen wichtigen Monat für den Club ab. Herr Nicklaus verbrachte zwei Tage im Monte Rei und arbeitete mit dem Team, das für die Konzeption und Entwicklung des neuen Südkurses verantwortlich ist, der im Jahr 2021 begonnen wird. Außerdem überprüfte er den 12-jährigen und preisgekrönten Nordkurs.
Herr Nicklaus war sowohl von der Reife als auch von der Qualität des Nordkurses und den enormen Möglichkeiten, die der Südkurs bietet, sehr beeindruckt und sagte:
„Monte Rei ist wirklich ein Juwel! Der Nordkurs ist im Laufe der Zeit gereift und ist jetzt ein sehr beeindruckender Kurs. Ich bin offensichtlich sehr stolz darauf, da Sie mich nicht beauftragt haben, nur ein Signatur-Loch zu entwerfen. Sie haben mich gebten, 18 Signatur-Löcher zu entwerfen. Und genau das haben wir versucht.
Mit dem Südkurs werden wir etwas Neues schaffen, das sich vom Nordkurs unterscheidet, aber meiner Designphilosophie entspricht. Wir werden versuchen, genug Abwechslung zu schaffen, dass die Spieler, die Abwechslung lieben, beide Golfplätze mögen werden. Die beiden Golfplätze werden sich ergänzen und den Ruf von Monte Rei als eines der besten Golfresorts in Europa weiter stärken.“

Zum zehnten Mal in Folge freuen wir uns, unser erfolgreiches Sommer-Golf- & Lunch-Event auszurichten und Golfspieler einzuladen, den Jack-Nicklaus-Nord-Signature-Kurs - der Nr. 1 Golfplatz in Portugal - zu erleben. Gefolgt von einem speziellen Mittagessen, zubereitet vom preisgekrönten Chefkoch Rui Silvestre.
Die Kleiderordnung ist für diese Veranstaltung locker bis elegant lässig, aber von allen Spielern wird erwartet, dass sie ihre Golfschuhe wechseln. Die Veranstaltung wird als Einzel-Stableford ausgetragen, wobei die Handicaps auf 24 für Männer und 36 für Damen begrenzt sind.
