Arrival & Bag Drop
Guests should arrive at least 60 minutes prior to play to enjoy the full Monte Rei experience. Upon arrival at the Monte Rei Clubhouse, valet parking is available and a member of our team will be on hand to take your clubs to the buggy staging area.

Registration
Guests must check in at the Golf Reception located in the Professionals shop. Our golf staff will show you around the locker rooms and provide directions to our clubhouse restaurant. A short briefing on the plan for the day will also be given. Once you’re ready to play our team will show you to your buggy and will escort you to the driving range.

Handicap Requirements
All guests and visitors to Monte Rei must provide a valid handicap certificate to play the golf course. Recommended handicap for Men is 28 and for Ladies is 36. Exceptions are at the discretion of the Director of Golf.

Dress Code
As part of the informal club atmosphere, smart casual attire may be worn at all times within the clubhouse, however, tee shirts, beach wear and training shoes are not acceptable.

On-Course Dress Code
Golf shoes (soft spikes) must be worn with appropriate golf attire. Tailored style shorts or trousers and collared golf shirts are appropriate, and ladies may wear sleeveless golf attire. The course requires the use of soft spikes to help maintain the quality of the playing surfaces and greens condition.

Mobile Phones
To protect the peace and tranquility of the golf club and maximize the golf experience at Monte Rei, mobile phones may only be used in the car park and locker rooms. At all other times mobile phones should be turned silent or switched off.

Twilight Reservations
If you have made a Twilight reservation, please note players will not be permitted to play before the earliest twilight time and the reservation does not guarantee 18 holes.

Juniors
Children up to 10 years of age are not allowed on the golf course, unless they have an official handicap or have been authorized by a member of the Monte Rei Professional staff. All Juniors up to the age of 17 (inclusive) must always be accompanied by an adult. Juniors under the age of 18 are not permitted to operate a buggy.

Pace of play & Pairing Up Policy
Monte Rei’s pace of play is 4 hours and 30 minutes when considering a 4-ball. In order to provide our players a unique experience at Monte Rei it is not our policy to pair up our players. We do, however, reserve the right to join players during busy periods.
During the periods outlined below, players will always be paired to form four-balls:
- 15/04/2027 until 15/05/2027
- 15/09/2027 until 15/10/2027 -
Bad Weather Policy
It is the Golf Supervisor and/or Superintendent’s responsibility, on the day, to declare if the course is playable or not. Rain and strong winds are not cause to close the course. Shall weather deteriorate during play preventing our players from continuing their game, they shall be escorted from the golf course. The same applies to electrical activity.

Rain Check & Refund Policy
In the event of course being closed due to inclement weather, Monte Rei does not offer refunds for green fees. Rain Check Vouchers will be offered to all golfers for a return visit subject to no more than 9 holes having been completed.
