Solidarity Cup - Taça de Portugal Solidário - held in Monte Rei In January 2008 Monte Rei had the honour of hosting this prestigious event in which a number of leading Portuguese companies and society magazines regularly enter teams. The players include many prominent business people and politicians who give up their time not only to play the immaculate greens but also – much more importantly - to raise money for charity. Portuguese President, Prof. Aníbal Cavaco Silva’s personal support for physically and mentally handicapped people in the community is well-known. His presence at this event will give it an extra impetus and more coverage for the chosen charity. |
