Please find below just a few examples of what the region has to offer:
HORSE RIDING
The Eastern region of the Algarve has the perfect settings to enjoy a delightful horse ride. Either discovering the numerous treasures of the Serra do Caldeirão landscape or riding along the Ria Formosa area, hours of pure entertainment are guaranteed.
HIKING
Another way to discover the diversity of the Algarve heritage is to follow the several paths through the countryside and the coastline, where the visitor can experience the unique natural surroundings, beautiful landscapes and local culture.
BOAT TRIPS
The Algarve has a stunning coast line, which varies from sharp cliffs with waves in the West to extensive golden beaches and calm waters in the East and the best way to discover this diversity is by boat. The visitor has a wide range of boat trips available, which combines action, adventure, relaxation or nature exploration. In addition, a boat shuttle to cross the Ria Formosa can be organised to take you to the wonderful nearby islands with deserted beautiful beaches.
BIKE RIDES
For those who seek adventure, the ideal activity is a bike ride through the hills of Serra de Tavira or along the Ria Formosa coast. A specialised bike rental company can deliver your preferred bicycle model to the door of your villa and provide you with different options for itineraries.
BIRD WATCHING
The privileged location and the unique weather conditions of the Algarve, especially the wetlands of Ria Formosa, allow the region to become an important migratory path of water birds coming from Central and Northern Europe. Amongst other species, it is possible to find the Black-winged Stilts, Avocets, Little Terns and Audouin’s Gull.
