 | | Salvador B. de Lucena General Manager Salvador Lucena graduated from the Hotel Management School in Oporto and has over 18 years of international experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Monte Rei in February 2008, Salvador specialized in operations and product development and has held senior management positions in 5 star properties like The Cliff Bay (Madeira), Sheraton Mencey (Canary Islands) and The Ritz Four Seasons (Lisbon). During his career, Salvador has worked in different countries such as England, Russia, Belize, Spain and Portugal. |  | | Iain McInally Director of Golf Iain McInally joined Monte Rei from being General Manager at Quinta do Lago, having previously held Director of Golf positions within St Andrews in Scotland, Royal Westmoreland in Barbados, and Marriott Hanbury Manor in England. Iain's career commenced over 20 years ago at Worplesdon Golf Club in Surrey, before he moved to The Wisley Golf Club after winning the 'PGA Trainee of the Year' award in 1991. As a Professional, Iain has won 14 tournaments including the 1999 Barbados Open. He Captained the Surrey PGA as an Assistant Professional and during his time in the Caribbean was Coach to the National Team. |  | | Mario Condeço Commercial Director Mario Condeço has been involved with the Monte-Rei project since its inception, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the property industry, including knowledge gained from both American and European ventures. Prior to Monte-Rei, Mario was involved with the same developers in several other real estate projects, including Quinta Shopping, Fazenda Santiago and Quinta do Lago. Before joining the Monte Rei development team, he was part of the Sotheby's Real Estate operation in the Algarve and, through the years, has provided property advice to high profile clientele owning property in the region. |  | | João Goulão Course Superintendent João graduated from the University of the Algarve with a degree in Agronomic Engineering, before commencing work within Vilamoura. João initially assisted with the construction and grow-in of the Arnold Palmer designed Victoria GC, and became Head Greenkeeper at that same venue upon opening and prior to the hosting of the World Cup of Golf and Portuguese Masters tournaments. In July 2007, João moved within the same company to lead the construction and grow-in of the new Faldo Course at Amendoeira, after which he moved to take charge of agronomy at Monte Rei. |  | | Jaime Perez Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage Jaime Perez is responsible for developing the new culinary concepts within the resort and the overall F&B operation since June 2007. Jaime has the distinction of having worked as a leading chef at the famous three Michelin star El Bulli - ranked the best restaurant in the world. Before arriving in Monte Rei, Jaime worked at the Ritz Carlton Arts Hotel in Barcelona, heading two of the main restaurants in the hotel, including the fine dining Enoteca. Jaime’s culinary career also includes collaborations with Pedro Subijana in San Sebastian and Henrique Martinez at NH Hotels in Marbella. Jaime presents us a successful combination of an Iberian cuisine with a Mediterranean flair and a focus on the finest fresh ingredients. As Jaime states “only the best is good enough”. |
