General Policies
The Monte Rei Golf & Country Club has created an atmosphere where our guests and visitors can relax and enjoy an unrivalled golfing experience; we therefore kindly ask that all guests and visitors to the club observe these rules & regulations.
OPENING HOURS
The clubhouse and Professionals shop (practice facility, golf services, locker room and Monte Rei grill) will be open from 7:30am each day and close one hour after dusk. During the winter months these times may vary.
Opening tee time: 8:00am
REGISTRATION
All guests visiting Monte Rei must check in at the Golf reception located in the Professionals shop. The golf staff will direct players to the locker rooms, clubhouse restaurants and practice facilities.
HANDICAP REQUIREMENTS
All guests and visitors to Monte Rei must provide a valid handicap certificate to play the golf course. Recommended Men maximum 24 hcp. Ladies maximum 32 hcp, or subject to the discretion of the Director of Golf.
DRESS CODE
As part of the informal club atmosphere, smart casual dress may be worn at all times within the clubhouse, however, tee shirts, beach wear and training shoes are not acceptable.
ON COURSE - DRESS CODE
Golf shoes (soft spikes) must be worn with appropriate golf attire, tailored or Bermuda style shorts or trousers and collared golf shirts, ladies may wear sleeveless golf attire.
The club encourages the use of soft spikes to help maintain the quality of the playing surfaces and greens condition. The locker room attendant will replace metal spikes with soft spikes prior to play.
MOBILE PHONES
To protect the peace and tranquillity of the golf club and maximize the golf experience at Monte Rei, mobile phones may only be used in the car park and locker rooms. At all other times mobile phones should be turned to silent or switched off.
